Experience and Credentials
Bionca Boyd is a compassionate and grounded therapist who believes no one should have to navigate difficult seasons alone. She has a strong and growing focus in perinatal mental health, supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, fertility challenges, and the complex emotional shifts that come with becoming or expanding into parenthood.
Bionca works with women and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and major life transitions. Whether you are adjusting to a new role, feeling overwhelmed by competing demands, or struggling to make sense of your emotions, she provides a steady and collaborative space to sort through it all.
Her approach blends warmth with evidence-based care. Bionca is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and has completed specialized training through Postpartum Support International (PSI). This allows her to thoughtfully address trauma, intrusive thoughts, mood changes, identity shifts, and the cognitive patterns that often intensify during the perinatal period. She integrates practical skill-building with deeper processing work, helping clients move from surviving to feeling more regulated and empowered.
With academic training in psychology and sociology, Bionca also understands how culture, community, and lived experience shape mental health. She offers an affirming space to explore identity, navigate family and societal expectations, and build resilience in a way that feels aligned with your values.
Clients describe Bionca as warm, insightful, and encouraging. She balances deep listening with gentle challenge, helping individuals strengthen self-trust, build coping tools, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
